Our client design high precision manual cutting machines for specialist tasks, developing innovative ideas that speed up customers workflow and increase productivity. Their primary focus is always on customer safety. The cutters are engineered to protect their customers whilst cutting the toughest materials. Full training will be given.

The role

As an assembly Operator you will be assembling manual cutting machines and boxing them up ready to dispatch to customer and clients.

Key accountabilities

• The assembly of manual cutting machines – sub assembly and finished machines.
• Working to build times and customer lead times.
• Undertake quality checks and final test to meet the companies exacting standards.
• Adhere to all health & safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Complete production documentation as required.
• Actively contribute and support the company’s continuous improvement programme.
• Undertake training as required.

Skills & experience

• You will have previous experience in an assembly/production environment (essential).
• You will be expected to follow departmental, quality and health and safety procedures.
• Have an aptitude for practical work.
• Strong team player but also works well as an individual when required.
• Capable of undertaking repetitive tasks within tight deadlines.
• Show flexibility and willing to work in different departments.
• Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
• Quick learner with good levels of English (Spoken & Written).
• Lean experience desirable.
• NVQ level 1 or 2 in production/manufacturing desirable.
