Assembly Department Administrator

We are seeking an Assembly Department Administrator to join my clients world-leading manufacturing company. With over 60 years of excellence, they are a family-run business looking to expand their busy team. The successful candidate will support the Assembly Manager with daily tasks and administration, ensuring the smooth operation of the department from order entry to despatch.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Learn and understand their MRP computer system.
  • Handle Sales Orders and manage route cards, including raising, issuing, and closing.
  • Prioritise team workload to maintain high-quality output and customer satisfaction.
  • Take progress calls and respond to customer emails.
  • Assist with courier despatch routines and the despatch of sales orders.
  • Manage and understand stock control.
  • Collate, pack, and label finished products as required.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your work area or task.
  • Adhere to Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a positive working atmosphere and promote cooperation with colleagues.
  • Support the team to ensure no production downtime and timely order fulfilment with high-quality products.
  • Strive for continual process improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Comfortable with manual handling and a hands-on role.
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and a desire to contribute to team success.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy working environment.
  • Computer literacy.
