Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Longbridge, Birmingham

Salary: up to £35k pro rata + Study + Part Time

Gleeson Recruitment are supporting a successful and dynamic business recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, with the right support, training and development around. You will be instrumental in providing accurate financial insights, supporting decision-making processes, and enhancing the overall financial performance of the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone part qualified in ACCA or CIMA and looking for a role where you can develop your skill set further in a great working environment whilst adding value and putting your month end skill set to good use.

• Assisting in the production of management accounts on a monthly / quarterly basis
• Month end reporting
• Accruals, Prepayments and Journal entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Managing cash flow forecasting a
• Communicate to relevant stakeholders effectively
• Weekly KPI reporting
• Identify and drive financial efficiency improvement opportunities

Qualifications for an Assistant Accountant

• Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Assistant Management Accountant or similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
