Assistant Accountant - Treasury
As an Assistant Accountant in the Treasury department you will work with five others in the department in analysing the daily bank transactions and working on other Treasury related tasks and in helping in the preparation of Head office accounts.
This role will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to gain broad experience within the finance function of a developing business and in developing the candidate’s communication, reporting and management skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsibility for daily summary bank balance reporting
- Preparing the detailed daily cash forecast template for the following month
- Assisting with head office accounts preparation
- Assisting with head office budget preparation
- Create Journals in Excel and Import Journals into Coldharbour Financials System to record transactions
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding day to day banking issues
- Keeping the process notes for the department up-to-date.
- Any other ad hoc tasks as and when required
Experience and Skills Required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve problems.
- At least two years of similar or finance experience
- Possess working knowledge of Treasury department activities.
- Good system skills including good excel knowledge.
- Accounting experience involving posting journals
- Self-motivated team player with willingness to help others and go above and beyond their formal role.
- Exercise the upmost discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Preferably studying for an Accounting qualification
This role is a hybrid role, 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.
