We are supporting with the search for a driven and skilled Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity comes with an annual salary of up to £35,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage payroll processing for up to 500 weekly employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee details, hours worked, and deductions, and reconcile payroll reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to payment terms and internal controls.
  • Support with Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing and reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts, P&L statements, and other financial reports, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering relevant data and performing variance analysis.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Candidate Skills and Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate Excel user.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
