A manufacturing/service-based company within the automotive industry is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team of two to support the FD and the Management Accountant.

Your new role
To carry out the day-to-day processing of transactional accounting data, focusing on purchase & sales ledger. To support the Management Accountant in enabling the finance team to provide support to all stakeholders.

  • Liaise with the Despatch team to administer all aspects of the sales ledger
  • Liaise with the Operations team to administer all aspects of the purchase ledger
  • Assist the finance team in preparing detailed cashflow forecasts and financial accounts based on the knowledge gained from the sales and purchase ledger activities

What you'll need to succeed
You must have practical experience in a similar role, studying AAT, ACCA/CIMA or have significant relevant experience. However, the position is also open to more junior candidates wanting to develop their accounting knowledge to go hand-in-hand with their studies. Sage 50 system experience will be beneficial. You must live local to Abingdon as this role will be full-time in the office.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an annual salary of up to £30,000 with 33 days of annual leave including bank holidays.
