Description

  • Full training role with a fast track approach to developing a high level of understanding across the whole finance/treasury function.
  • Support all aspects of the accounting cycle including month end, year-end, financial statements, and annual audit for the group
  • Liaise with group companies to produce summary financial information in flash report format to present on a monthly and ad hoc basis to the non-executives of the business.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial analytical reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested to present to senior management and the board.
  • Assist the group's finance departments by analysing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends and recommending actions in a supporting role to the non-executives.
  • Supporting cash conservation and cash allocation across the various businesses through good communication with finance heads and the analysing of information supplied to the treasury department.
  • Work closely with non-finance managers across the business to ensure sound decision making
  • Investigate and report to management on any inconsistencies or improprieties in the financial information provided by other parts of the business.
  • Assist with company secretarial/compliance duties.
  • Internal audit testing and reporting across the group.
  • Carry out financial administration as required - for example, arranging funding for various related businesses.
  • Other ad hoc project work to support the Group and non-executives from a financial perspective * Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the businesss

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or AAT Studier
  • Strong numerical skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Job Offer
