Assistant Accountant

A Manufacturing company based in Portsmouth are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team.

This is a really exciting time to join a growing business, where you will support the Financial Controller with the day to day finance tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily posting of bank transactions
• Reconciliation of bank account and other balance sheet accounts
• Maintaining debtor's control
• Chase overdue payments.
• Assisting with management of purchase and sales ledgers
• Assisting with creating and maintaining supplier account details and reconciliation of supplier statements as required
• Processing general ledger, fixed assets and cash book transactions
• Supporting month end procedures

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, you will ideally be studying or planning to study towards AAT and will be able to commute to the offices in Denmead, Portsmouth.
