I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a busy and growing firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Chester. This is a busy and growing practice and they are looking for someone who is part or fully qualified at AAT level to join their first-class team. Working as part of the team you will support customers with all aspects of accountancy.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the director and senior manager
  • Preparing limited company accounts and corporation tax returns including dealing with clients queries with support from two qualified ACAs
  • Possible audit work if the person possesses the right experience (not obligatory)
  • Possible independent examination and charity accounts work if the person possesses the right experience (not obligatory)
  • VAT return preparation
  • Dealing with companies house issues - winding companies and issue of shares up etc
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Resolving HMRC queries/issues
  • Personal tax return preparation for the period of October to January

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a firm of UK accountants required
  • Experienced in meeting clients face to face and providing high levels of customer services
