My client is seeking a forward-thinking and adaptable Assistant Accountant who is eager to secure a role involving collaboration with like-minded individuals.

Working within a close-knit team based in Redcar, they are excited to welcome a driven and enthusiastic addition!

This role requires someone with a solid understanding of transactional accounting, experience in managing month and year-end processes, and exceptional Excel skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Resolve all invoice queries
  • Managing sales ledger & purchase ledger
  • Financial reporting
  • Assisting with the monthly management accounts process
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working closely with the management team

Requirements:

  • Ideally studying towards AAT, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Knowledge of transactional accounting, and experience managing the month and year-end process
  • Excellent IT skills (particularly Excel)
  • Strong critical thinking skills, using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems
  • Ability to build collaborative and strategic work relationships & contribute to team success
  • Action-oriented with a focus on driving execution
