Assistant Accountant - Penryn - £26k-£30k

Trial Balance has been assigned exclusively by a repeat client, a very successful manufacturing business based in Penryn, to source a high calibre Assistant Accountant to join their friendly accounting team. The role is full time onsite, however 4 days per week would be considered for suitable candidates.

Your duties in this broad ranging position will include assisting with month end duties to include sales reports, European VAT and Intrastat reporting and group reconciliations; management reporting, assisting with the preparation of year end statutory reports, monthly management accounts, ledger maintenance and payroll.

This role would suit an AAT qualified applicant or a candidate with a similar level of workplace gained experience. You should be able to demonstrate a decent working knowledge of Excel, to include pivot tables, VLookups and complex formulas. Additionally the successful candidate will need a broad skillset in financial and management accounting principles, along with a collaborative working style and strong IT skills, ideally to include Sage.
