Assistant Accountant

Interim Assistant Accountant - Andover - c£14.50 - £16 per hour DOE

Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant with a strong background in purchase ledger management? We have an opportunity with our client, an Andover based company, who are looking for someone to join the existing finance team and support with day-to-day accounting functions.

This position has the prospect of becoming permanent if you are the right candidate for the long-term role!

The role will be varied and include:

• Manage purchase ledger processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments
• Bank reconciliation
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Vat reconciliation and quarterly submission
• Posting accruals and prepayment journals
• Support the Head of Finance with any other financial tasks as required

Skills/Experience:-

- You will have previous accounting experience from within a similar role
- Familiarity with purchase ledger operations
- Solid bank reconciliation knowledge
- Experience of using Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- You will ideally be AAT qualified or qualified by experience
