Assistant Accountant

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join a successful local organisation where you will have the opportunity to really stretch your wings and achieve your career goals.

Some of your duties will include:

- Overseeing the day to day running of the finance function and preparing management reports

- Managing the sales, purchase and nominal ledgers along with the credit control function

- Preparing cash book records, reconciling with monthly bank statements and investigating any variances

- Calculating and completing VAT returns on a quarterly basis and posting online payments to HMRC

- Producing monthly management accounts and taking responsibility for month-end and year end processes

- Preparing a wide range of financial reports and analytical schedules for the Directors
