Assistant Accountant

I am exclusively partnering with a dynamic and growing SME to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join a friendly small finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a thriving business and play a key role in its daily finance operations."
Key Responsibilities:? Process monthly payroll for 50 employees
? Collate, verify, and process time sheets
? Accurately calculate overtime, call-outs, bonuses, and deductions
? Ensure compliance with tax regulations and payroll-related deductions
? Oversee the company’s pension scheme
? Perform bank reconciliations
? Assist with accruals, prepayments, and financial reporting
? Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries
? Support accounts payable and receivable functions
23 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing to 25 after 2 years)
Annual profit share bonus (approx. £4k)
Friendly and relaxed working environment
On-site parking
?? Minimum of 3 years' finance experience
?? Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
?? Proficient in IT, particularly Excel
