Assistant Accountant

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our clients team due to our ongoing expansion. This full-time, office-based role offers a competitive salary of up to £45k.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Providing all needed financial information for day-to-day operations.
• Conduct daily reporting of business operations KPIs.
• Approve payments and prepare weekly cash reports with detailed transaction analysis.
• Ensure daily reconciliation of bank transactions and updates using Xero
• Preparing monthly accounts and balance sheet reconciliations, including understanding budgets and variance analysis.
• Engage in significant ad-hoc work as required by a growth business, including support to operations and other departments both in the UK and overseas.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years’ experience in preparing management accounts.
• Proficiency in Excel, including the use of advanced formulas.
• Some experience in managing staff and handling VAT returns, corporation tax returns.
• A proactive interest in the needs of the business and its continuous growth.
