As a Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team by performing a range of accounting and administrative duties. You will be responsible for supporting the full range of finance processing functions, primary duties will be responsibility for accounts payable, inbox management, payment runs, company credit card management, management of the AP systems. Other tasks will fall under this role as required, including accounts receivable support and project support.
This role will grow as the business grows and the future shape of the role will adapt during that process. There is the opportunity within this role to contribute to the month end processes such as journals, balance sheet reconciliations.
Key responsibilities:
Process invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Communicate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve financial issues.
Involvement in query resolution in support of the credit controller and deputise if required
Support of year end and month end processes
Review, develop, and continually improve controls and procedures, and implement best practice where applicable
To support the Management Accountant in preparing financial information, transactional inputting, reporting, analysis and ensuring all month end deadlines are met
Monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations for the areas under your remit
Assist in the year end Audit Preparation
Assist with maintaining financial records, ensuring they are accurate and up to date
Handle expense claims and ensure compliance with internal policies
Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
