Assistant Accountant

• Location: Totton, Southampton
• Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week (1-day WFH)
• Salary: £28,000 to £35,000 per annum
• Fully AAT qualified as a minimum

Reed Accountancy are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join a great company based in Totton. This role is ideal for someone who is AAT qualified and working towards CIMA qualification and eager to apply their skills in a fast-paced environment.

As the Assistant Accountant you will be instrumental in providing accurate financial reporting and analysis, ensuring robust financial controls, and supporting the company growth and commitment to sustainability.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Preparation of accounts to trial balance
• Analysis and review and insight into management accounts.
• Assist in the production of mid-month and month end board packs.
• Reconciliation of PO and Sales reports.
• Prepare compliance reports (Payroll, HMRC)
• Support with year-end and audit requests

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• AAT Qualified working towards CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification.
• Advanced Excel user.
