We have exciting opportunities across a variety of Categories within our Support Office teams based in Nottingham.Our Assistant Buying Managers work at pace, building excellent relationships. You’ll be able to demonstrate great team management skills and deliver the best opportunities for Boots. You’ll implement the commercial strategy across your categories and deliver the best possible results against this ambition.Aspects of the role include:
  • Financial management including budgeting and forecasting and end to end profit and loss
  • Creating and implementing annual plans centred around traditional levers of pricing, promotion, and new product development
  • Ownership of supplier relations
  • Growing Sales profit and market share, ensuring a true omnichannel experience
  • Responsibility for category strategy
What you’ll need to have
  • Influencing and problem-solving skills and the ability to build a broad and diverse network
  • Negotiation experience
  • Financial acumen and awareness
  • Commercially focussed approach
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Ability to interpret data and generate insights to inform decisions
  • Use initiative to create and seek out solutions.
  • Work as part of a team and build cross functional relationships.
It would be great if you also have
  • Previous experience in a commercial trading or buying role
  • Retail Experience
