Assistant Catering Manager

• Location: Peterborough
• Salary: £12.18/hour (Approx £16,315 pro rata based on FTE £23,500) - Pay award pending
• Job Type: Part-time, Term-time (30 hours/week, 39 weeks/year)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Catering Manager to join our team at a vibrant secondary school near Peterborough. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing nutritious and appealing meals to our students and staff.

• Assist the Catering Manager in the daily operations of the school kitchen.
• Supervise and support the catering team to ensure high standards of food preparation and service.
• Help plan and prepare menus in collaboration with the Trust Executive Chef.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
• Manage stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Assist in budget management and cost control.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen management role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
