I'm recruiting for an Assistant Chef to join my client in Salisbury It has the great benefit of being Monday - Friday only with the hours of work being 07:30am and 3:30pm each day.

You will assist with the catering and hospitality services for a busy workplace canteen. The business provides its employees with a free staff canteen that offers breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and you'll be part of the team responsible for keeping smiles on faces and tummies full.

You'll work closely with the Catering Manager and Head chef to ensure the canteen is fully stocked and various dietary requirements are met. You'll be involved in food preparation and daily baking for the afternoon tea session , and washing up, and menu writing when required.

You'll assist with the catering for internal events where required, and take on additional responsibilities such as standing in for the Catering Manager and undertaking duties such as ordering and budgeting when needed. You'll also need to uphold and comply with laws and organizational rules in relation to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety.

The ideal person will be an excellent communicator with some precious experience of food preparation in a similar sort of position. You'll need to have great customer service skills, enjoy putting a smile on people's faces and brownie points if you can bake a great cake already �?

Salary is up to £25,000, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays, Death in service, access to a wellbeing app, the option to join the cycle to work and electric company car schemes and a whole range of other different discounts and benefits.
