Assistant / Consultant Ecologist

A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy who specialise in Planning, Design and the Environment with a fast-growing Ecology team. Their main body of work spans Planning, Architecture, Arboriculture and Ecology across Cambridge, London, Norwich, Manchester, Edinburgh and York. They are looking for passionate and dedicated Ecologists to join a fast-growing, unique and rewarding organisation.

This role is available in the London, Norwich or Cambridge offices and will include a hybrid policy between working from home, office and site days.

Your new role

You'll be working closely with Senior Ecologists and the Ecology Director, an excellent opportunity to develop your client-facing skills. Main duties will contribute towards the efficient running of the team and will include...

• Assist with habitat and species surveys
• Help to deliver ecology and biodiversity surveys and assessments
• Lead on your own surveys
• Carrying out desk studies (research and analysis)
• Helping to work up fees / proposals
• Ensuring that the team's objectives are efficiently achieved
• Attending team meetings
• Communicate clearly to ensure project success
• Health and safety risk assessment;

What you'll need to succeed

• Some ecological experience in a consultancy or survey season setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK driving license (ideal)
• Membership in CIEEM (preferred)
