Sterling Williams are working with a City Based international bank looking to make a permanent hire into their Credit Team.

The role is office based 5 days per week and carries a salary of c£40 - 50,000 pa plus benefits.

Responsibilities of the successful candidate are varied, but will consist of the following (amongst others):

  • Establishing full records in the banks books of all info pertaining to facilities of the dept (including on/off balance sheet, current balance, availability/drawdown period, rollover dates, commission dates etc)
  • Where the bank is the lead arranger, fix interest rates and interest periods and make payment claims.
  • Maintain admin section of credit file ensuring all information is correctly recorded
  • Weekly review, and prep of statements of loans versus collateral check
  • Analyse financial accounts and audited reports for inclusion in credit applications for submission to the credit committee
  • Prepare credit applications for lending proposals for all corporate or sovereign loans
  • Prepare country reports, market info and industry analysis for the credit committee
  • Analysis of Banks and FI’s for approving limits for Trade Finance and Treasury Dept
  • Prepare analysis for Trade finance related facilities.
  • Period reviews of all loan facilities outstanding on the banks books.

The successful candidate will have experience in credit analysis, credit admin or loans admin gained in a banking environment, or a trade finance environment; and have excellent communication skills.

Wider knowledge of compliance and regulatory responsibilities including AML and a background in documentation; and attention to detail is crucial.
