This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Leader to join a high profile Public Sector organisation, based in London, as an Assistant Director - Human Resources.

The role will require someone with a senior HR background within a Public Sector/Political environment alongside strong leadership skills.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Director - Human Resources will be to lead HR and organisational development, ED&I, project work with scope across the entire organisation and improve HR services.

Principal accountabilities will be as follows:

  • Develop and implement effective HR strategies, plans and policies to ensure the long term development of the organisation.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure the organisation is recruiting, retaining and motivating the highest calibre of diverse staff to deliver organisation priorities.
  • Provide advice and guidance to C-Suite and Senior Stakeholders in HR management and organisational development.
  • Lead on the development of a cohesive and agile performance-based culture, developing the organisation's approach to talent management and drive effective leadership of organisational change.
  • Develop and implement ED&I policies that ensure the organisation reflects population metrics.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure SLT priorities are being delivered and share best practice.
  • Lead on Executive Board appointments for the organisation, including advising on recruitment, governance.

Profile

The successful Assistant Director - Human Resources will be a member of CIPD or equivalent, with extensive strategic HR management experience. You will previously have worked within the Public Sector/Political environment with proven success in leading HR and organisational development functions at a senior level in complex, high-profile organisations.

You will need to be able to demonstrate strong track record in staff management, motivating teams to achieve high performance, particularly during organisational change whilst influencing and guiding Senior/Exec Stakeholders within an organisation.

Job Offer

Initially this will be a 6-9 month FTC based on performance and scope to extend.

Competitive Day rate paying between £800 - £1000 (inside IR35) depending on knowledge and experience.
