Assistant Estimator

Our client, an Interiors Refurbishment and Fit Out Contractor, based in Sheffield, are currently seeking an Assistant Estimator to join them due to continued growth. In this position the Assistant Estimator working closely with senior estimators until you're able to price your own projects and then run it from start to finish. These projects are predominately within the Commercial, Leisure and Local Authority sector, of values up to £2 million.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have prior experience within a similar position, a background in either Quantity Surveying or Estimating will be considered. A knowledge in pricing will be advantageous. A full driving license is a required.

Assistant Estimator Position Overview

• Learn to manage projects from inception to completion whilst reporting back to the Contracts Manager - Average length of a project is 6 - 12 Weeks
• Preparation of contract documents
• Preparation of cost estimates and cost plans
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Ordering materials

Assistant Estimator Position Requirements

• Prior experience within a Quantity Surveying or Estimating
• A professional degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant degree
• Full driving license - Happy to travel as required

Assistant Estimator Position Remuneration

• Salary: £28k - £40k DOE - This can be discussed if you're more of a senior level.
• Holidays + Bank Holidays - Increasing on years' service, after one years' service you are also eligible to have your birthday off
• Pension - Employer will match employees' contribution
