Assistant Financial Controller
An Assistant Financial Controller vacancy has arisen to join a manufacturing business within the automotive sector based in the Coventry area. Joining a small team, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be working alongside the FC to increase profitability and track and report financial data. You will be a point of contact on the shop-floor, working closely with senior managers across the company supporting with financial and operational information.
As the Assistant Financial Controller you will be -
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, month end deliverables and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
- Reconciliation of inter-company accounts and completing monthly VAT declarations
- Preparing financial budgets & forecasts and monthly budget tracking
- Responsible for the financial administration of suppliers
- Preparing government statistical reports
- Provide assistance with Accounts Payable / Receivable on an adhoc basis
Ideally, you will have a background in accounts within a manufacturing or engineering business, along with -
- Part-Qual or qual by experience, ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc
- Exposure to standard costing in an MRP environment
- Previous experience in KAIZEN and/or GEAR activities
- Strong communication skills
On offer for this Assistant Financial Controller role are -
- Starting salary of £40-45k +
- Working hours of Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm (office-based)
- 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
