Assistant Land Acquisition Manager

Our client is a rapidly expanding property developer with developments across Southern England and moving into northern markets as well as London. They are currently looking for an Assistant Land Acquisition Manager to support and work alongside the Head of Sales & Land Acquisitions and are offering training and a starting salary of £32-35,000.

Based in Tiverton, you will support the Land Department in identifying and deciding which land is appropriate for new build residential projects as well as helping manage the South West office.

Training can be provided, and the job role will also include assisting with the following duties:

  • Identifying and visiting sites for potential development
  • Appraising a site to establish land value and writing reports on your findings
  • Negotiating deals with both landowners and agents, and presenting ideas at consultation events
  • A basic understanding or interest in planning legislation and working closely with planning teams to assess the suitability of land for development.
  • Realising the development potential of a plot of land
  • Assisting with assessments
  • Liaising with vendors and external companies to arrange site surveys
  • Providing survey companies with all relevant site information
  • Monitoring competition
  • Carrying out saturation surveys and other site identification tasks
  • Undertaking research and collating information for reports as directed

The ideal candidate will currently be working in the property industry either in Land & Development, Estate Agency or New Homes and have a minimum two years experience with a solid knowledge of the property industry purchase and sales process. You will have your own car and be willing to travel to visit land sites or to head office in London.

In return our client is offering a basic salary of £32,000 (dependent on experience) rising to £35,000 after probation and the opportunity to progress to Land Manager level. The working week is Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
