Assistant Management Accountant | £28,000 - £36,000| Fixed Term Contract | Staffordshire| Central Government:
Castlefield Recruitment are working with Central Government Authority in Staffordshire who are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to their busy team. The role is offered on an interim basis to cover maternity leave within the team for 14 months, the role offers hybrid working arrangements and great benefits package.
Duties:
- Providing guidance and advice to senior managers and budget holders
- Responsible for budgeting and assisting with year-end arrangements including preparing accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead on monthly reporting including the fixed asset register maintenance
- To assist and provide support with the wider finance teams
Experience:
- Must be able to use Excel with confidence and able to analyse and manipulate data sets
- Strong analytical skills and able to evaluate and report financial data
- AAT qualified or Finance Degree or part-qualified CCAB/CIPFA/ACCA/CIMA – actively studying
