NXTGEN have an exciting Assistant Management Accountant role with a globally recognised business based in Lowestoft. Working within an established and high performing finance team, the Assistant Management Accountant will assist with the production of month end management accounts. You will have the opportunity to provide insights on performance and explain variances, gaining excellent exposure to stakeholders .The Assistant Management Accountant will also support with some of the budgeting and forecasting cycles as the business strives for continued financial growth. Within the role you can also expect to have plenty of opportunity to identify improvements to processes with the organisation passionate about continual improvement.

Key responsibilities within the role will include:

  • Assist with month end management accountants
  • Assist with balance sheet preparation, ensuring that all reconciliation's are completed with great accuracy
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, including ongoing re-forecasts throughout the year
  • Assist with monthly P&L review, working closely with the Finance Manager

The successful candidate will ideally hold an AAT qualification or will be already progressing with further study (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). You will ideally have previous month end management accounting experience and will be confident transactionally as this will still be part of the role. This is a very progressive and developmental role so study support is available for the right candidate alongside excellent career development prospects.
