AS THE ASSISTANT MERCHANDISER:

  • You'll report directly into a Merchandiser, allowing you autonomy and room to grow
  • As an Assistant Merchandiser you will actively own your own category
  • Running your own category with the support of your Assistant Buyer, the pair of you will successfully plan, develop and trade a range of products throughout each season
  • As the Assistant Merchandiser you will also be pro-actively involved with multiple categories under your merchandiser, gaining a more holistic view of managing multi-category performance
  • Actively contribute to the wider team with offering actions and solutions
  • You'll be able to give commercial solutions to Monday Trade with understanding and the ability to give detail around; cash, cover, margin, units, intake & other KPI's.
  • Manage all sizing, ratios, rebuys, intake, newness
  • Monitor and manage stock levels with awareness of cover
  • Oversee the critical path and delivery schedule, liaising with your buying team closely
  • Be used to working with a trading calendar, meaning you have a sound understanding of things like seasonality & launches
  • Accountable for your own categories, budget, option count, OTB, and trading actions
  • Deep diving historic sales when building lessons learnt and strategy packs with your merchandiser
  • Strong understanding of volume vs newness/ trial buys
  • Ability to identify and de-risk your suppliers capabilities with either lead times or capacity
