GMP Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client in Kidderminster for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a highly recognisable and hugely successful engineering business that has seen substantial growth and development in recent years.

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday, offering a highly competitive salary which is demonstrable with experience.

Working as an Assistant Project Manager, you will be working closely with the Senior Project Managers, assisting them in delivering contracts from handover to final acceptance, giving you the ability to learn and develop on the job skills.

To be considered for this great opportunity, you must be quality and process orientated and be able to demonstrate 1-2 years previous experience in a project support or business support role.

Assistant Project Manager main duties:

· You will support the Project Manager on the company’s contracts so that they are completed within time, specification, and budget.

· Responsibility for selected contracts to support the department and individual development

· Collaborate with the team to ensure that key objectives are achieved.

· Assist the project team with planning and delivery of ongoing projects.

· To assist in the reporting of the contracts as required by the company’s project reporting processes and tools

· You will attend, contribute to, and when required call such meetings as are required to effectively manage the contracts as required by the Project Manager.

· Provide feedback to the project manager on status and support areas of the business where necessary to keep project milestones on-track.

· To support activities at customer facilities when required during the project.

Assistant Project Manager desired skills and experience:

· 1-2 years' experience of project support or business support / administration

· A strong communicator with positive attitude and a team player.

· Ability to embrace and encourage change.

· Excellent attention to detail.

· Quality and process oriented.

· Strong planning and delivery skills.

· Able to multitask and prioritise.

· Work at our clients and at their customer’s locations.

· Good inter-personal skills with all levels of customer’s and company staff.

· Good quality report writing skills.
