Job Specification: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: Blackpool

Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Blackpool. The ideal candidate will come from a shop fitting background and will work within the fast-track food and beverage sector. This role offers a great opportunity for career progression and development within a strong commercial team.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Surveying:
Perform take-offs and prepare quantities for various projects.
Conduct Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
Visit sites as required for measurements and assessments.
Undertake remeasures and prepare bills of quantities.
Collaborate closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Estimating:
Assist with estimating duties when needed.
Support in the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates.
Help with the preparation of tender documents.

Requirements:
Ideally from a shop fitting background.
Experience in quantity surveying and some exposure to estimating.
Proficient in using Excel and other relevant software.
Ability to work alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor and within a strong commercial team.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to visit and assess sites when required.
