We are a leading Chinese bank in the City and currently recruiting for a Windows/VMware Assistant. The Bank is renowned worldwide for its quality services to customers, and has operated in the UK as a Branch for the last 8 years.

As the Software Developer in CMB London Branch, you will mainly work with other members of the IT team and a variety of business groups to develop Enterprise Business Applications. You will also work closely with IT department of CMB Head Office and be presented with opportunities to learn about the products and technologies used in banking, as well as receiving training provided in China. As part of the IT Development team you will understand and analyse the needs of the internal business. A strong understanding of designing, coding, configuring correcting and documentation of application whilst following company guild lines and policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop new frameworks, applications, features and enhancements;
  • Undertake analysis of data to produce database development projects for wide ranging business base;
  • Develop database designs inclusive of tables, data types, functions, stored procedures etc.;
  • Manage the ongoing development cycle of existing products, including scheduling of developments, product testing, release cycle and support materials;
  • Provide assistance of developing, maintaining, monitoring and improving the Core-Bank Suite and Databases in coordination with the IT Department of Head Office;
  • Support for IT related general tasks;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head of IT Department.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience (1 Year or above);
  • Good communication and writing skills;
  • Willing to learn Fintech and IT structure;
  • Fluent English and Mandarin (or Cantonese);
  • Experience in programming is preferred.

This will be a full-time position and the successful candidate will receive a mark-to-market salary package depending on experience. The closing date for applications is 13 August 2024.
