Profile Criteria:

  1. Fully-Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with accounting experience from industry 
  2. Preferably Banking or Financial Services sector experience
  3. Statutory/financial accounting experience
  4. IFRS
  5. Good communication and presentation skills
  6. Either immediately available or available on a short notice period (1-month or less)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate accounting treatments of applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Provide accounting technical support
  • Provide ad-hoc support and to generally assist the department
  • Preparation of disclosure notes for financial statements
  • Liaise with external auditors
  • Assist in the delivery of Head Office reporting
  • Build effective working relationships with the wider Bank, as well as within the team

Essential/Desirable Skills:

  • Degree educated in Finance or Accounting
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Experience in Banking is preferable but not necessary
  • Technical expertise in accounting operations under IFRS
  • Demonstrable business transformation and process improvement skills
  • Knowledge and experience of financial products and services
  • Team player who is able to work independently
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Excellent communication skills
