About our client

Our client is an impressive venture capital investor which is looking to hire a Portfolio Associate to support the investment, senior management and investment operations teams in London. This is a growth hire and will play a critical role in the development and continuous improvement of the analysis of the portfolio at an asset and fund level. The role will be responsible for valuations, performance and portfolio company financial analysis, forecasting, portfolio reporting and supporting the deal team through the transaction process. The role will partner with the wider investment operations team to ensure best practice across portfolio and wider investment operations systems and processes. What the job involves

  • Preparation and maintenance of asset valuations, fund-level modelling and asset forecasting and analysis
  • Preparation of portfolio reporting
  • Support financial analysis of portfolio company financials and capital structures
  • Support the transaction process and create new portfolio workflows for acquired assets
  • Support broader investment operations and investment initiatives
  • Support senior management on the continuous development of process and system improvement
  • Support the wider data team to optimise data workflows and create dashboards
  • Support wider fund operations business functions on audit and reporting cycles
  • Develop strong relationships across the investment team, senior management and wider investment operations practice
Who we are looking for
  • Chartered Accountant (or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of valuations and proficient in financial modelling
  • Private Equity or Venture Capital experience would be desirable
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Happy to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive and with a strong work ethic
  • Engaging personalist: able to interact with a broad range of stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
