Associate Director, Controllership UK&I
Leading international pharmaceutical company is currently recruiting an Associate Director, Controllership looking after their UK & Ireland operations. Reporting into the Director, the role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, accounting, and financial analysis, with ideally (but not essential) experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the financial reporting team and provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement financial reporting processes, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including annual reports, quarterly reports, and other ad-hoc reports as required.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and transparency of financial information presented to all stakeholders.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Identify and mitigate financial reporting risks and develop controls to mitigate these risks.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ideally ACA qualified) with extensive post-qualified experience leading reporting/controlling teams. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS is essential (US GAAP is an added bonus); the ability to influence senior stakeholders and key decision makers is essential.
