Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of audit-focused clients.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements under FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Participate in client meetings and complete audits with minimal supervision.
  • Develop upcoming audit talent and manage the financial aspects of your portfolio.
  • Engage in business development and maintain key client relationships.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and independently research and solve issues.
Qualifications and Skills
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience in an accountancy practice.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build client and team relationships.
  • Capable of managing complex projects and multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Experience in leading group audits and preparing consolidated accounts.
  • Familiarity with CaseWare or Mercia methodologies is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise high volumes of work.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to keep assignments on budget.
  • Ability to identify growth opportunities within the existing client base.
  • Committed to developing the team with day-to-day support on technical matters.
  • Travel requirements include working from the Surrey office and client premises in the surrounding areas.
