I have just met with the Audit Partner of a boutique accountancy practice with a rich history and loyal client base within the Charities and Not-for-Profit Sectors. With 7 partners and around 40 employees across 3 offices, this firm has a close-knit feel and can offer a truly personalised service to their clients. They are looking to recruit Audit and Accounts Seniors for either offices in London.

Some of their clients have been with the firm since the 1800's which is a testament to the service they offer as well as being experts in this niche field.

What will this Charities and NFP Audit and Accounts Senior role entail:

  • In London, the clients are around 20% corporate and 80% NFP, but there are more commercial clients within the regional offices
  • The role is audit heavy with a split 80% audit and 20% accounts preparation
  • They also offer internal audit services and can incorporate this into the role
  • Reporting in line with FRS102, and SORP
  • The audit teams vary in size up to 6 depending on the size of the client
  • You will develop your supervisory skills and use your expertise for all stages of an audit, from planning through to completion.
  • Software includes, MS 365, MyWorkpapers, Mercia and IRIS

They specialise in the audit of charities and other not-for-profit organisations and are a top twenty firm in the charity sector, auditing a number of national charities and approximately 120 charities in total


In addition to registered charities, their not-for-profit clients include housing associations, co-operative and community benefit societies, school academies and trade unions.

They have top tier expertise across the full range of additional specialist services to the sector, including grant audits, internal audit, VAT, direct taxation, and financial management.
