Long - Term Teachers are working with a fantastic specialist school based in Taunton, who are looking for an enthusiastic TA to join their hard working, passionate team. Commencing in September 2024, the role will be working Monday to Friday, term time only, between the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Your main duties will include:

  • Managing behaviours
  • Running activities
  • Leading 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN
  • Report writing and liaising with SLT on students progress

About you:

  • Experience working with children, particularly toddlers
  • Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
