Autism Teaching Assistant - L4 area

We are recruiting for a Autism Teaching Assistant for a community School in L4 area of Liverpool o work on a long-term basis starting September! you will be working with a child with ASD and sensory needs. There is no behavioural issues

Your role & responsibilities as an Autism Teaching Assistant:

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Contribute to developing a creative curriculum where creative learning opportunities are available for all pupils
  • Support pupils in small groups and on a one to one basis whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/work plans as appropriate

Non-negotiables as an Autism Teaching Assistant:

  • Must have recent and relevant experience in working with children and young people
  • Must have experience working with individuals with SEN
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the classroom teacher and as part of a wider team
