Auto Door Engineer - Building Services

Our client offers a high-quality complete building services across a diverse range of sectors. The services that they provide consist of Rail Maintenance, Educational Facilities Management, Healthcare Construction, Civic Building, Church Building and Facilities Management.

Due to company growth, our client is looking to add an Auto Door Engineer to their highly experienced and qualified team. The Auto Door Engineer will handle repairs and maintenance of automatic doors, ensuring timesheets are completed promptly to meet client requirements.

Firstly, what's in it for you?

  • 0730 am - 1700 pm - Monday to Friday (Additional hours may be required as well as occasional weekend work and responding to call outs when required).
  • Salary - £37,000 - £42,000.
  • Overtime rates - Hourly rate x1.5 17:30 - 07:30 Monday - Friday and Saturday 08:00 - 14:00 and x2 Sat 14.00- Monday 07:30.
  • Vehicle and fuel card provided.
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Auto enroll pension (5% employee 3% employer).
  • Occasional social events throughout the year.

Auto Door Engineer - Building Services

Responsibilities

  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Remedial, and Reactive tasks promptly to meet client requirements.
  • Identify and diagnose faults, providing detailed reports on necessary rectifications.
  • Occasionally install new door set systems as needed.
  • Utilize the GTR Asset Pro live reporting system to ensure all assigned tasks adhere to contract Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Provide recommendations on equipment condition and submit Life Expired reports when applicable.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation every 4 weeks, covering reactive faults Monday to Friday from 17:30 to 08:30, and full weekends from Friday 17:30 to Monday 08:30.
  • Attend relevant training and Health and Safety courses as directed by the Contracts Manager.

Auto Door Engineer - Building Services

Requirements

  • City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 certified in Door Gate and Shutter Systems Installation and Maintenance.
  • Experienced with Record Retrofit Kit, GEZE, Dorma, and other systems.
  • Familiar with SFG20, the industry standard for Automatic Door maintenance.
  • PTS qualification is desirable.
  • Holds a full UK driver's licence.
  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail.
  • Possesses strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
