Are you an experienced quality control inspector with experience or a solid interest and knowledge of cars and the automotive industry. Are you interested in working within a prototype and development parts role based within an automotive test and development facility? ASL Technical are now working with a leading Automotive Engineering Technical centre as they look to expand their Parts Supply team to support vehicle builds and ongoing component and vehicle testing.

Main Purpose of Automotive Quality Inspection Technician role:

  • Inspect vehicle parts to ensure they adhere to the technical drawings.
  • Be able to accurately describe/report parts that have failed inspection to departments outside of the UK.
  • Receipt of Goods In & Out, to include unloading of test parts in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with other engineering departments to advise of test parts arrival.
  • Pick test parts for use by test groups.

Do you have the required experience for the Automotive Quality Inspection Technician role?

  • Knowledge of and be able to recognise car parts and assemblies.
  • A good knowledge and experience of using PC packages in day-to-day work.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Understanding of how to use handheld measuring tool (verniers, vernier callipers, feeler gauges etc.) accurately.
  • Be prepared to visit other locations to carry out component and assembly inspections.

Qualifications, skills, training requirements

  • Experience in the motor trade, technician, Stores/Goods Inwards & Outwards environment
  • Fork Lift Truck licence – not essential but willingness to learn is.
  • Current Full UK Driving Licence

This is a 12 month contract opportunity where the successful candidate can expect to receive the following in addition to the advertised rate:
