Job Title: Auxiliary Site Support
Location: Wessex Lodge School, Frome
Salary: £10258.00 per annum
Hours: 20 hours per week; Monday to Friday (times to be discussed at interview)
Contract: Permanent , Term Time only
UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.
This vacancy will be located at our Kilmington site BA12, not on our Frome site.

About the role
To provide a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the school.
Areas of Responsibilities & Key Tasks
Auxiliary Site support
- Be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of all areas and for maintaining high and consistent standards
- Take initiative to perform cleaning and tidying tasks that are not specifically contained within the rota but require attention as part of maintaining overall high standards.
- Ensure Health & Safety, quality and general procedure compliance
- Work to meet standards and school objectives
- Report any Health and Safety issues to the Site Manager and Health and Safety Officer
- To take responsibility for the standard of cleanliness and hygiene of premises and equipment
- To follow the school’s absence policy in the case of absence due to illness
- To attend any of the job training sessions as required
- To administer first aid in the case of a minor accident acting once completed first-aid training.
- To liaise with the Head Teacher and Senior Administrator of the school in dealing with problems and any other matters of concern
- To contribute as a member of a team to the ethos and environment of the school
- To adhere to need for confidentiality at all times
- To perform such other duties as reasonably requested by the Senior Leadership Team.
- To ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety Legislation
- To ensure that protective clothing is worn as and when required.
About us - Wessex Lodge School is growing!
Wessex Lodge School currently comprises of two sites: Wessex Lodge School located in Frome, and Newmead Farm, located in Maiden Bradley. Both sites allow students the opportunity to explore the curriculum alongside a range of subject paths, including the likes of, animal care, horticulture, DT, and forest school, as well as sporting activities.
Our students are aged between 8 and 18 years old. Each student has individual needs and, supported by the THRIVE approach, through a proven range of practitioner-led services and our talented staff, we can help to improve life outcomes for every student.
The established staff team come from a variety of previous occupations and have a vast range of individual skills, which can be utilised, within this school. So, if you have an interest and/or qualifications in animal care, horticulture, construction, outdoor education, forestry or any other specific trade or hobby, we would love to hear from you!
