Azure Infrastructure & Migration Specialist, fully remote

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking to hire a contractor for a On-premise to Cloud (Azure) migration project.

The main purpose is to tech lead the migration of on premise hosted applications to an Azure Landing Zone, to include workload design to cloud execution. In addition, the successful candidate will also assist in new workload and recommending & deploying new Azure hosted solutions aligned to our client's governance.

The successful candidate will have a background in IT infrastructure with recent examples of implementing Cloud (Azure) migrations.

Services can be provided on a fully remote basis. However, candidates that are willing to travel to the offices in Bristol occasionally will be welcome.

Engagement is via umbrella company only.

Key skills & experience: -

  • Relevant experience with Microsoft Azure implementation & migration projects
  • Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Scale Sets, Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery
  • Service Design - define and implement comprehensive operational requirements and service designs
  • An in depth understanding of Azure Network Architecture including security groups, Firewalls, Network interfaces, Virtual Networks etc.
  • Scripting
  • Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework
  • Azure Landing Zones
  • Microsoft Azure and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
  • Implementing and maintaining robust security controls within the cloud
