Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer

Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer– 4 - month contract – Fully remote

My customer requires an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer that will help with the lift and shift of applications (App-V) when migrating from Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

The Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer should have strong capabilities with both Citrix and AVD (Azure Virtual Desktop) The Engineer would have experience working on a similar migration, lift and shift project moving from Citrix to AVD.

This Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will be fully remote.

Primary day to day responsibilities will for the Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer will include:

• Previous experience as a Virtual Desktop Engineer
• Expertise on both Citrix and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
• Experience leading a migration project: Citrix to AVD application migration
• Team leadership skills and ability to provide technical guidance to meet the deadlines of the project
• Experience lift and shifting application in a migration environment
• Application Virtualisation 0 running virtualised application on users’ devices – App-V
• Experience with Group Policy
• Experience of App Packaging & Delivery
• Experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
• Azure App proxy knowledge would be beneficial
• Experience with Nerdio Manager for Enterprise would be beneficial
• Experience with Appventrix would be beneficial

This Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer would be working fully remote.
