We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of one of our clients in the travel and tourism industry.

The BDM will be responsible for winning new business across the UK&I market. Previous experience in a B2B business development role in MICE within the travel industry is essential. The company specialises in Southeast Asia so experience or at least knowledge of this region would be ideal. The ideal candidate will be confident covering the UK&I market autonomously and be able to demonstrate effective business development strategies to win and retain business across the region.

This is a remote position with a base salary of up to £40,000. There is also a commission structure paid as a percentage of sales brought in from new and existing clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new clients and establish relationships to develop business opportunities.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure retention.
  • Implement effective business development strategies to grow market presence.
  • Research the market and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Provide reports on sales performance and predicted growth.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous B2B business development experience in travel and tourism.
  • A solid understanding of the MICE market in UK&I.
  • Knowledge of Southeast Asia as a travel destination.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • Native English speaker. Other languages would be a bonus.
