Backend Developer

Location: Birmingham

Role

My client, a global Fintech organisation is looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join their team in Birmingham. The right candidate will work alongside Product Owners, Front end developers and test automators in the scrum team.

You will be required to participate in the re-design of our application towards the latest technologies on the market and also extend the product with new business functionalities based on functional requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an international scrum team as backend developer
  • Participate in the re-design of our application towards the latest technologies on the market.
  • Optimize application performance.
  • Participate in technology projects.

Key Skills Required

  • Experience in building flexible and reusable frameworks
  • Knowledge of the following development environments: MS Visual Studio.NET 2022, Team Foundation Server, SQL Server Management Studio (2019/2022)
  • In-depth knowledge of some of the following technologies: .Net Framework (C#), .Net 8, WEB API and Swagger
  • Experience with SQL Server and database design is an asset.
  • Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
  • Interest in coding guidelines.
  • Familiar with Scrum and Agile Methodology
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience
