Backend Engineer - Node

Helping more people experience the joy of Music, this product company create musical instruments and platforms through technology that are used by both amateurs and professionals - allowing users to explore their interests and talents in a truly unique way. As a Node Developer with Project Lead experience, you’ll be creating performant and robust software for a complex set of web platforms. An ability to ensure the integrity of the database and be confident querying will be valuable. Building RESTful APIs using MongoDB and Node.js, this developer will also need to integrate third party SaaS providers, all within an AWS environment.

You’ll be comfortable with

  • RESTful APIs, Node.js and MongoDB
  • CI/CD pipelines and AWS infrastructure
  • Demonstrable experience in architecting, owning and/or creating APIs
  • Monitoring companywide infrastructure, stakeholder engagement, sprint planning and retros
  • Commercial leadership credentials, having impacted project direction
  • Maintaining code, security measures and reducing technical debt

Bonus points for

  • Familiarity with React Native, Unity or Audio Software (such as JUCE)
  • Shopify, ecom technology exposure

Collaborating with a team of Platform Engineers, DevOps and Front-End Engineers, the successful applicant will focus purely on back-end work with key responsibilities within the business to enhance the company’s ability to continue providing their unique set of products. Helping to change the way artists (both experienced and aspiring) access music, this tech driven organisation is truly impacting the way creativity is defined, with key figures in the industry reliant on the products and features on offer.
