We are recruiting for Band 6 & 7 Theatre Practitioners (Scrub, Anaesthetics or Recovery) to join a Large NHS trust in Paddington on a permanent full time basis. You will gain experience working within: Neurosurgery, ENT, Breast surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology and renal, General, Cardiac, Gynaecology, Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and Hepatobiliary.
Job Role:
As a Theatre Practitioner (Nurse or ODP) your role will be in Scrub and/or Anaesthetics and/or Recovery, delivering a consistently high standard of patient care utilising evidence-based practice. You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate all aspect of patient care, prepare patients and aid with clinical/operative procedures and participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
Who are we looking for?
- Current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professionals Council registration (HCPC) (No restrictions on practice)
- Registered General Nurse OR Registered Operating Departmental Practitioner with 6 months or more Operating Theatre experience.
- To have knowledge and understanding of all surgical specialities within the operating department
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to work in a highly technical area
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Thorough, thoughtful, and conscientious approach to working.
