Pay Rate: £22 - £24 per hour
Pay Mechanism: Direct Engagement
Contract Duration: 23/04/2025 - 16/07/2025

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Social Services Equipment Team at Mersey Care. The role focuses on assessing for and prescribing essential equipment and adaptations that support independent living and safety at home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct holistic assessments to determine equipment and adaptation needs.

  • Prescribe appropriate aids, adaptations, and manual handling equipment.

  • Liaise with social services, housing teams, and other professionals to implement support plans.

  • Educate patients and carers on safe and effective equipment use.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with Trust guidelines.

Key Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Experience in equipment and adaptations within a social care or community setting.

  • Strong assessment and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multi-agency teams.

  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and equipment provision protocols.
