Band 8b Practitioner Psychologist

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Band 8b Practitioner Psychologist for a LOCUM contract in partnership with Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide psychological support to Older Adults with complex Mental Health difficulties including Dementia. The service is an Inpatient Unit in the Blackpool area. This is a full-time opportunity available for the duration of 12 Weeks with the likelihood of extension.

Pay Rate: £40.00 LTD p/h + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus

Location: Blackpool

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Contract: 37.5 Hours | All Hours will be considered

The post holder will work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary Inpatient Mental Health Team and provide Psychological Assessments and 1:1 treatment to service users with Dementia amongst other Mental Health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:

• To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing to the patient's formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan and to provide advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and management.
• To provide specialist psychological assessments to Older Adults displaying complex Mental Health conditions including Dementia, within an Inpatient setting.
